How to Reach Gundu?
Gundu Greenland is easily accessible by motorbike, cycle, or on foot. Local buses don’t operate to this area.
1. By Local Bus + Hike
Take a bus from Koteshwor or any possible route to Suryabinayak. Once you reach the Suryabinayak Chowk, get off the bus and hike to the Gundu.
2. By Motorbike/Cycle
Traveling by motorcycle or bicycle is a great option if you do not want to hike. The road is decent and you can easily reach there within 15-20 minutes.

- First of all, reach Suryabinayak Chowk. You can easily get a bus to Suryabinayak from different routes.
- Once you reach Suryabinayak Chowk, take a right turn and head straight up the road until you see Suryabinayak Ganesh Temple.
- Take a right turn onto the road. You will see two roads. Follow the left lane and keep going straight up until you see the Gundu grassland (chaur) on your right side.
- To reach the dummy plane area, walk for 2 minutes. It will be on your left.

1. Suryabinayak Temple
Suryabinayak Temple is one of the four major temples of Lord Ganesh and is believed to have been built over 1500 years ago. It is also known as “Temple of Rising Sun” as it receives the first sunlight in the morning, which makes it even more special.
This temple holds both historical and cultural significance. People visit here to pray for their good health, happiness, and overall well-being. This place is also one of the popular tourist centers.
2. Pilot Baba Ashram
Pilot Baba Ashram, a popular spot in Bhaktapur, was built for Wing Commander Kapil Singh, who was once an Indian Air Force pilot. He left the military to follow the spiritual path and find inner peace after a near-death experience during the war in 1961.
